Please Share , Beautiful Jinx looking to be adopted, you never know , someone you know could be the perfect match.

We just don't understand how Jinx has still not found his forever family, and would love to find in time for Christmas.

Please share far and wide, we know his perfect family are out there

Jinx – Our Lovable, Quirky Collie X ✨
Jinx has been in our care since the beginning of the year, and at just about a year old he’s ready to find his forever home. He’s a medium-sized Collie cross (around 15kg), neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped.
Jinx’s looks are as unique as his personality – he has a lazy eye that gives him a wonderfully quirky, intense stare, but don’t let that fool you. Behind that look is one of the sweetest, goofiest dogs you could ever meet.
🐾 Personality
Jinx is affectionate, gentle, and loves nothing more than being close to his humans. He’s not barky, he’s very clean, and he’s happy to snooze quietly by your side. Once he gets over the first few minutes of shyness, he’s a total cuddlebug who will happily soak up all the rubs and attention.
🐾 Background
Jinx came into the pound as a feral pup with his siblings, knowing nothing about the world. Because of that, sudden movements and new or loud noises can still make him nervous. But nervous does not mean aggressive – he simply needs time and reassurance to process new experiences. With patience and kindness, he’s learning to trust humans and is already making wonderful progress.
🐾 Likes & Lifestyle
Loves food (he’s very treat motivated) and enjoys a good game of ball – though he’s more about hiding it than retrieving it!
Travels well in the car.
Crate trained and can be left alone for a few hours.
Calm and relaxed around the house but enjoys his daily walks and exploring the garden. A secure garden is a must.
Gets along well with other dogs.
Best suited to a calm home, ideally with older children who understand not to overwhelm him.
🐾 Why adopt a Collie X?
Collie crosses are often overlooked in Ireland, but they make incredible companions. They’re intelligent, loyal, and sensitive, with so much love to give. Jinx has all of these qualities – plus a goofy streak that will keep you smiling.
💌 What Jinx Needs
Jinx is looking for a patient, understanding home where he can continue learning about the world at his own pace. He would thrive in a calm environment with with people who have time to help him grow in confidence. In return, you’ll have a devoted companion who will shower you with love and loyalty.
Home check & adoption fee apply. Secure garden and someone home part time. Please complete adoption form in link https://www.lasthope.ie/index.php/i-want-to-adopt

Some great Advice...Thank you pawsaga.alldogs

It’s that time of year when homes smell like cinnamon, pine, and everything “festive.” But before you light that candle or plug in a new diffuser, here’s something to keep in mind 👇

Many scented candles, wax melts, and essential oils can be toxic to dogs — especially ones with ingredients like:
🚫 Tea tree
🚫 Eucalyptus
🚫 Pine
🚫 Cinnamon
🚫 Wintergreen
🚫 Peppermint

Even a small amount of essential oil in the air can irritate a dog’s nose or cause breathing problems. And if it gets on their fur or skin, it can make them really uncomfortable.

If you love your home smelling nice, try to stick with unscented or pet-safe options, and always keep candles and burners out of reach — tails and open flames are not a good mix. 🔥🐾
