Today had to say goodbye to my beloved Lady Windley, she was 31.
I bought her in December 99, carrying a June Spectrum pregnancy, the very first mare I ever bought. The result was a middle May c**t foal, the first foal I ever bred, and the only one that year, named Zouave, he won first time out, a day will never forget.
She also gave me the first black tipe horse, in Talwin, the first Gr1 winner in Lethal Weapon, and many good days at the sale.
She’s been with me for the last 20 years, gone in a blink of an eye.
Rest in peace my darling, and thanks for the ride
