A very happy little boy with his new best friend, Fairy, who was recently adopted. A sweet young girl, we're sure Fairy will be very much loved and we wish her and her new family every happiness. We would also like to thank her Christmas Foster Family who did a fabulous job minding her while the Shelter was closed and helping this girl to become less shy and more confident around people and traffic.

Carrie
Meet the beautiful 18 month old female cat Carrie, who came into the shelter recently looking for a new forever home.

Carrie is a nervous cat who we feel has been through a lot we dont know about and she is looking for a home who will allow her time to gain trust and come out of her shell. Carrie also has a heart murmur which was picked up with our vet when being assessed and will need to be kept an eye on.

Her adoption fee is €100 this is to help offset some of their vet work including neutering, vaccinations, worm and flea treatment and a microchip.

If you would like to meet Carrie we have kitty cottage adoption day every Saturday at our shelter in Athgarvan between 1:30-3:30pm no appointment necessary. If you would like to meet her around these times you can book an appointment by sending Elaine a message on 0894588162.

The KWWSPCA and its premises at Oldtown, Athgarvan, Co. Lilly came to us just before Christmas and has now found her forever home. Seen here leaving the Shelter on adoption day and then settled on her nice new bed. We thank those that applied for her, Lilly's Christmas Fosterer who minded her so well while our Shelter was closed and of course her new owners to whom we wish every happiness. All the best Lilly!

Piper could really do with a break. He's waited all year at our Shelter for a home of his own but it hasn't happened for him yet. We are now appealing for a Christmas Foster Home for him with one major condition - it must be free of cats! He gets on with most dogs so a "meet and greet" is essential with any resident dogs. Piper is loved by all the Volunteers at the Shelter and is an easy dog to have around. Please call our helpline on 087 6887136 or email us at [email protected] if you are interested. The home must fulfil all our usual fostering conditions

Sweet Ollie is fighting the tiredness as he recovers from his neutering procedure. He moves to his new home shortly where he’ll be able to nap in comfort to his heart’s content.
