Chihuahua's have a bit of a reputation in the grooming world . Probably in the veterinary world too for being very difficult to get nails clipped . I've seen alot of tictock videos of them behaving like little monsters .
So i just wanted to show what early training can do . Pixie is 1 1/2 years old now and has had alot of nail trims so now she is getting trained to have them filed aswell 🥰.
No special equipment needed just patience

Filing the nails can smooth those sharp edges that can scratch .
Nails are clipped and then filed manually as I've found alot of dogs don't like electric filers or dremels. Hard to get a video but you get the idea
Filing can be added onto a normal nail clip session or can be added onto a normal groom for an extra 2.50.
Suitable for most dogs who are used to getting their nails done .

This little cutie had a wash and blow dry using a moisturising shampoo and flash shine spray that contains conditioning oils to give her coat that extra shine
Getting the best finish is all in the details .
As you can see from the floor the bulk of the coat has been removed and now I get the final finish using thinning scissors and chunkers .
Most dogs love this bit and will get sleepy as I neaten up every little piece .
Barney will go home looking his best.
