Meaningful exercise is important for your dog. Not just physically but mentally as well. This post gives some examples of games you can play with them to enhance both physical and mental stimulation. If they are too young/old/injured and are not able for daily walks these games can be great to keep them entertained and occupied.

Back in June the wonderful folk at Roscommon SPCA CLG rescued 3 gorgoeus but malnourished border collies from unimagineable living conditions. We were delighted to be able to provide some much needed food to help give wonderful dogs the chance at life that they deserve. We are now very happy to update you that Boo, Brody and Bubba are now thriving! Breda from Roscommon SPCA has sent us the following update:

โค๏ธBubba the oldest & most emaciated has gone from 12kg to 19.4kg & is an absolute dote.
โค๏ธBoo who is approx 6 years old went from 11kg to 14.9kg (she was not as emaciated as Bubba & Brody, her main neglect was in her coat & skin & she had to be shaved due to this neglect) her coat is now growing back really well & will be beautiful when fully grown back.
โค๏ธBrody the youngest at approx three years old went from 12kg to 14.4kg. He still has more weight to put on, but with the continued feeding plan in place he will achieve his required weight in no time.

All three have been vet checked, treated for parasites, vaccinated & microchipped.

Boo has been adopted (along with another lovely collie called Rocco) to a wonderful lady here in Roscommon. They are loving life in the countryside, going for long walks daily, they love living indoors, & love being cared for & are adored by Louise who adopted them together.

Bubba has been neutered & has had a dental to remove decayed teeth from which he is fully recovered. He has an enquiry in for his forever home so we are currently working on that this weekend. He is an absolute sweetheart of a dog.

Brody is also neutered & is so good with other dogs male / female & is an all round fun dog and ready to find his forever home.

This has all happened in ten weeks & for that we are very proud here in Roscommon SPCA CLG to have achieved this on their behalf. It has been our pleasure to be part of their journey to full health & to a new life filled with the love, care & joy they all deserve.

We would like to thank you all in Petmania so sincerely for the most generous donation of dog food, seven oils, their luxury beds to help us rehabilitate these three amazing dogs to the condition they were meant to be. Petmania is Ireland's leading Pet Store & we are thankful to you for partnering with us when we asked you for assistance."
