Remember Luciano? He is a 4 year old Mini Dachshund that exhibited extreme reactivoty towards people. He has a biting history and desperately needed help, as he was about to be put to sleep if he bit someone one more time. He undergone a 6 weeks Rehabilitation Program, where we worked a lot on his socialisation with people and on reducing his anxiety. Moreover, Luciano is having a brilliant obedience now.

Thank you Lisa for your feedback.🤎💫

Dealing with a reactive dog? Here are our top five practical tips, straight from the field, to help you manage and improve your dog’s reactivity. ⬇️

1️⃣ Identify Triggers
Every dog has unique triggers, whether it’s people, other dogs, or specific situations. Observe closely to pinpoint what’s setting them off – awareness is the first step toward improvement!

2️⃣ Work on Focus & Obedience
Building basic obedience skills, this helps redirecting your dog’s attention back to you when they’re on the edge of reacting.

3️⃣ Practice Controlled Socialisation
Exposing your dog to different environments gradually and positively can help them adapt. It’s all about taking small steps and rewarding calm behaviour.

4️⃣ Use High-Value Rewards
When your dog stays calm in the presence of a trigger, reward them with treats or praise they love! Positive reinforcement helps them associate good behavior with positive experiences.

5️⃣ Stay Calm and Consistent
Your dog senses your emotions. Remaining calm and consistent reassures them and builds their confidence in tough situations.

We had a spontaneous idea of attaching the microphone to Walter’s collar so you could hear this 🐶🤍

Did you enjoy this kind of ASMR of Walter playing Fetch?

Remember Boss? He is an 8 months old Dutch Shepherd that used to be overreactive towards dogs and overprotective of his female owner.

This is his update before he goes back home, as we promised.💫

Shenzi, a beautiful German shepherd, spent 4 weeks at our training center. Her owners had already put in a lot of effort, making her very obedient. However, they struggled with her overexcitement and her inability to follow commands when distracted—outside, around other people, etc. 🌟

At K9 Security, we prioritize car training as a key part of our Family Protection Program, ensuring that your new dog is fully prepared for all aspects of life with you—including car rides.🐶

While it might seem like dogs naturally love car rides, that’s not always the case. Some dogs can feel anxious, especially on long trips. That’s why our car training is essential. We teach our dogs to be calm, comfortable, and well-behaved in the car, making your outings stress-free and enjoyable.

With a properly trained dog, you can easily include them in more social outings, road trips, and daily errands. We make sure your life is easier and your dog is ready for any adventure! ✨

Luna, an adorable 4-month-old pup with a one-of-a-kind look, is here for 4 weeks of residential training. We’re focusing on obedience, recall, socialisation, and building a solid foundation for her future. Despite her young age, Luna is already impressing us with how quickly she’s picking up commands—thanks to her smarts and love for treats!

When she first arrived, Luna wasn’t very responsive to her name, but now she’s nailing her recall and showing off some serious focus during training. Training puppies can be tricky, but with patience and the right techniques, even the youngest pups can make amazing progress.
