Delighted to win Kilkenny Working Gun Dog Club's 16 Dog Open Stake with our Corrib Oscar today at the very testing Mulberry Shoot, Co Clare. A massive well done to all involved in today's trial and congratulations to Billy Lundy with FTCH Razzle Dazzle Billy on their second placement and to Ollie McMahon with his now FTCH Oakleighwood Idris on their third placement. Thank you to all the helpers today and to the judges Michael and David who did a great job. I was very pleased with Oscar's run and we still have plenty to learn together going forward however it's brilliant to pick up some rosettes along our journey. We all know that there are many pitfalls when field trialling and it's a tough journey at times but when you get that Red Rosette it sure does feel nice, and we all know that the opportunity to be in the winning position doesn't come around every day.

Two year old Labrador Retriever dog Corrib Pete, he is out of our FTCH Corrib Fern and sired by FTCH Millbuies Ghillie. Very handsome dog with power, pace and style. Pete is maturing into a fine animal and with his excellent pedigree and superb health results he will make a lovely stud. Exciting times ahead with this handsome dog for sure!

Uncle Pete with his nephew Rolo! Both were waiting patiently to meet the guests today at one of our Gun Dog Training Displays. It is killing me that we won't be keeping Rolo at our Corrib Kennels. A beautiful pup in every way possible. We will have more than enough with his litter sister Raven and his cousin Heather to be working with over the next couple of years.........it's hard work and not fair to keep three at a similar age......but I like this guy 😕

Corrib Oscar running a handy retrieve today across a small drain with a bank of light cover.....the retrieve was just over the hedge! This season is nearly over however I am really looking forward to next season already. 🐾🐾❤️🇮🇪

Two year old Corrib Phoenix enjoyed her training session this afternoon. She is in excellent condition, five months after her litter. KITTY Cat & DOGGY Dog is an excellent food and all our dogs are in superb condition. I'm looking forward to the spring and summer months training this big girl, weighing 33kg/73lbs. Phoenix is a daughter of our FTCH Corrib Fern and sired by FTCH Millbuies Ghillie. 🐾🐾❤️🇮🇪🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Lovely couple of hours had out this afternoon in the field with this gentleman and his spaniels. It's always an honour to walk behind John and his excellent hunting spaniels, and it's nice to have our Oscar at heel.....another day's education for all.

"Corrib Richie" aka Rolo. While packing the van for a gun dog display today, little Rolo was missing and when I found him, he was in the van and wanted to come to work!!i I couldn't say no! He came along and loved meeting the guests.
When the one you didn't plan on keeping is becoming your favourite 🫣😎

My absolute admiration and respect goes to my good friend Sarah and her Crosshairs Labradors.........Sarah travelled on her own and arrived to our place in Shannon, Ireland on Thursday morning after a combined road/boat trip of 35 hours from door to door, to have her Crosshairs Debbie Eagan aka Glow mated to our FTCH Corrib Jasper. Thankfully the two matings went well and straightforward!
Sarah has just left now on her return journey back to Cologne, Germany. The passion and drive that Sarah puts into her breeding programme and to take in such a massive journey just days before Christmas just shows you how important her Crosshairs Labradors are to her and no journey is too big for the dog she wants to introduce to her breeding programme. Fingers crossed that all goes well with Glow and we are very excited to see what arrives in nine weeks time. Safe journey home Sarah and see you soon 🐾🐾❤️🇮🇪🇩🇪
