I am slightly back. I have been suffering with my health for the last 2 to 3 months so unfortunatly I had to take a step back from social media and talking to many people.
Apologies but there was nothing that I could do about that. It happened suddenly and completely took me out.
Let me ease back in to talking and social media and please don't bombard me with messages and calls.
A few things must change for me to continue trying to help these birds.
◇Messages are now only to be sent directly to the page. Do not message me on WhatsApp or call me unless I ask you to.
◇my home is not open for visits. It is my home where I not only work but live with my children. There is no set commercial building where these parrots live.
◇ we will not travel to collect birds,cages food etc as we are unbelievably busy trying to keep on top of what we have here. Even an hour unscheduled throws the routine out of whack.
◇ if you are given my home address for a collection or surrender, you must not share it with others for my family's safety and that of the birds.
◇I do not get paid to do this work, this is voluntary in my free time, whatever that is. If I am feeding, cleaning or training, working or spending time with my kids then I can't be on the phone to you. And if you take too much of my time then something else suffers.
◇ the numbers of parrots here must reduce. I am learning how to say NO. Even though I don't want to but I have to for my own sanity and to ensure proper care of the birds. We are currently full.
◇ it costs approximately 215 per week to feed, clean, care for the birds here. Personally covered on a single mum's wage when there are no funds. Please donate if you can or I can do click and collect in pet mania in sligo or pet stop discount warehouse in sligo.
◇ All adoptions will now be long term fosters with a donation (same amounts)
◇ your support and ongoing donations are imperative to our survival so please dig deep if you can
