Thank you to everyone who came on Tuesday!!

We learned practical steps to consider antimicrobials and their use in practice.

We also hope our guests enjoyed their first time in Ireland.

Inside the vet school we have details on the VETS4PETS EMS bursary which gives students the opportunity to get funding for EMS with Vets4Pets. They have practices in Northern Ireland and across the UK. That's pretty student friendly!

Deadline to apply is the: 8th January 2024

Here are the T&C's:
Each applicant must be in their final or penultimate year at university and a BSAVA Student Vet member in the UK or Ireland before they submit their Student Bursary Application.

If you are not already a member, and wish to join to take advantage of this offer, you can choose between the FREE Student membership or the Student Member Plus for a one-off payment of £15.
Details on BSAVA student memberships and their benefits can be found here.

Those who wish to take advantage of this bursary must be able to attend all three days of BSAVA Congress 2024. You will also be required to complete a feedback survey once Congress has finished.

If you cannot attend all three days of Congress, your bursary will be offered to another applicant.

The bursary is only given to the successful candidate and is not transferable.

The payment to support travel and accommodation will be paid within one month of attending Congress.

All applications will be entered into a draw after the closing date of 8th January 2024, and successful students will be notified by 15th January 2024.

The £200 payment for travel and accommodation will be made upon receipt of the completed survey following Congress.

Do you struggle with work-EMS balance?

Well we are delighted to announce that VDS is here to support you. There are 5 grants worth £500 being awarded as financial aid to support students during their EMS, especially Clinical EMS.

Both Ireland and UK veterinary students are eligible to apply.

72nd Symposium in Slovenia January 2023

We had 4 members of UCD attending and 3 of which were IVSA Ireland.

We all learned so much and it counted towards our CEMS. At our general assemblies important decisions were made. During lectures we learned about practical applications of veterinary dentistry. As well as this, we learned about veterinarians in the military and Lynxes native to Slovenia.

We came home with new friendships and excitement for the congress in Denmark. Indonesia is next, and we have only one ticket for a spot at the symposium to raffle off!!
