You don't need a pet to call in on Saturday, just some festive cheer! If you'd like a family photo we would be so happy to welcome you. We have lots of homemade treats, mulled wine and Christmassy fun.
Our pet remembrance tree is lighting and we remember all the pets that meant so much to their family. 🕯
We have a raffle with lots of prizes for everyone. Thanks to all that donated raffle prizes.
Most of all we want to raise some money that will go on to help feral and stray cat neutering. This is so important coming into the new year when cats will start having babies again.
I'm so thankful to our team in Arra, everyone has pitched in and helped. We've decorated, packed treat bags and baked goodies.

Saying goodbye is always very hard no matter what. Been present for the family is so important as a vet. Remaining professional yet empathetic and understanding is so important. We do understand how it feels...we all have our own darling pets.
Getting yourself together to meet the next family and their new pet, or the next family and their sick pet is what I find the hardest. In one day we can experience a huge range of emotions.

Got lots of questions recently about ear tattooing. Ear tattooing is used in pet cats to mark them as neutered. This means that there is never a question about whether they have been neutered or not.
It's done while the kitten is under anaesthetic so they wake up not knowing anything and have a really cool 'x' on ther ear.
The left ear is used as this is a universally used for ear tipping to mark feral cats as neutered.
This is included as part of the price of the neutering
