While the kids head back to school, it’s time for some mental stimulation for your dog! 🐾🍎 Add your blue pet chews to add bonus nourishment to your kibble or training treats.

“Find the Treats” Puzzle Game

Objective:
Engage your dog’s mind and sense of smell by hiding treats around the house or yard for them to find. This game stimulates their natural hunting instincts and provides both mental and physical exercise.

What You’ll Need:
- Your dog’s favorite treats or kibble.
- A few small containers or toys that can hide the treats (e.g., plastic cups, puzzle toys, or even crumpled paper).

How to Play:

- Start Simple:
Begin by showing your dog a treat, then hide it under one of the containers or in an easy-to-find spot while they watch. Encourage them to “find it!” and praise them when they do.

- Increase the Challenge:
Once they get the hang of it, hide multiple treats around the room or in different parts of the house. You can place some in harder-to-reach places or under more complex obstacles, like beneath a blanket or inside a puzzle toy.

- Use Scent Cues:
To really challenge your dog’s nose, rub a treat along different objects or surfaces without leaving the treat there. This creates a scent trail that your dog can follow to find the hidden goodies.

- Vary the Locations:
Keep things interesting by changing the hiding spots regularly. You can play this game in different rooms or even outside in the yard. Just make sure to always keep it fun and rewarding!



- Make It a Routine:
Play this game for 10-15 minutes each day as part of your dog’s routine when the kids head off to school. It’s a great way to keep them occupied and reduce separation anxiety.

- Bonus Tip:
Combine this game with training commands like “sit,” “stay,” and “wait” to make it even more mentally stimulating. For example, have your dog wait in one room while you hide the treats in another, then release them to go search.
