I have seen a big increase in dogs coming in with ticks on them over the last few weeks. Keep up to date with your dog's flea and tick treatments to prevent any unwanted visitors 😬 it's always best to buy your flea/tick treatments from your local veterinary clinic

Jack is still missing

A very friendly male black lab, named Jack, ran into the forest at the bog on December 12th and has been missing since.

If you have spotted Jack, please let us know. Jack is microchipped.

❗🌩️⚠️STORM BARRA WARNING⚠️🌩️❗

✔️ Please keep your dogs and other pets inside safe and warm with you as storm Barra approaches.

✔️ Check for fallen or damaged garden fencing before taking your dog outside for walks and/or toilet breaks.

✔️ Windy weather can be very scary for some dogs, so please keep them on lead when outdoors.

✔️ Provide them with a safe place to hide indoors if they are scared of thunder or strong winds. Do reassure them if they are anxious. This will NOT reinforce fear. Give them lots of enrichment opportunities such as stuffed Kongs, puzzles or Lickimats which can help relax them as well as using dog soothing playlists which can be found online.

✔️Please make sure that your dog is microchipped AND that your contact details are registered and up-to-date. We regularly come across dogs who are microchipped but the microchips aren't registered, making it impossible to locate a dog's owner. Even if you think your dog's microchip is registered, we advise you to double check this with your dog's vet. Microchipping is a legal requirement for all dog guardians. It can also prevent a world of heartache if your dog bolts in panic....please trust us on that.😣

✔️ Make sure your dog is wearing a collar with an ID tag (with clear contact details). Sadly, we are contacted almost every day about lost and found dogs, so please make every effort possible to keep your dog safe at all times.
