Some prescription diets recommend review every 6 months.

Your vet will advise how regularly they need to monitor your pets condition, based on the patient and the medication in question.

Spooky season is upon us 🦇 Here are our suggestions for pet safety this Halloween:

🍬 Ensure all sweets are stored out of reach. Chocolate, xylitol, and certain other sweets can be toxic to pets.

🎃 With the doorbell ringing and strangers visiting, provide a quiet area for your pets to retreat to, away from the noise and commotion.

🕯️ Keep pets away from candles, electrical cords, and decorative items that can be ingested or pose choking hazards.

🎇 Ensure your pet has proper identification and their microchip details are up to date in case they get spooked and run away

👻 If dressing up your pet, make sure the costume is quiet, safe and comfortable. Avoid anything that restricts movement or has small parts that can be swallowed.

😊 Nutracalm is available from our clinic without prescription, providing fast acting support for stress and anxiety. Suitable for cats, dogs and small furries!

Ellie would like to remind everyone to ensure your pets anti parasitic treatments are kept up to date 🐾
Fleas and ticks are a year round problem, and despite the weather getting colder we are still seeing plenty creepy crawlys such as fleas and ticks on both dogs and cats. As well as being horrible to look at, these parasites can cause serious health issues 🦠

To ensure your pet never misses a treatment, ask us about our text reminder service- it's free and available to all our clients! 🐶🐱

A reminder to our clients that tomorrow we will be operating from behind closed doors as access to the clinic will be restricted. We recommend anyone wishing to collect medications or prescription diets does so today, and as always we have a vet on duty for any emergencies.

Not all heroes wear capes 🦸 Meet Duffy, pictured here with our wonderful receptionist Hollie. Duffy is 4 year old racing greyhound who in addition to being a very handsome boy, wins today's Best Boy award following his blood donation earlier to help out a poorly patient in our clinic ❤️
Greyhounds have an ideal blood type and their blood typically has a higher red blood cell count than other dog breeds, making them an ideal donor for patients requiring a blood transfusion ✨ Well done Duffy! ✨
