🩵Our boy Daìthì has found his forever home🩵

Daìthì came into our care a little over a month ago with a badly broken leg. The only option at the time was to have his leg amputated due to the severity of the break. Since then, Daìthì has recovered so well under the wonderful care of the staff at Riverside Veterinary Hospital. Recently, he was sent to a foster home with a fantastic couple who already have 2 of their own Springers. As luck would have it, the stars aligned in Daìthì's favour and that foster home became his forever home.

We can't thank the staff at Riverside enough for their wonderful help and care & to Daìthì's new owners - thank you so much from all at ISPCA Waterford 🩵

💗 Special Rehoming Appeal for Shadow 💗

Shadow is our senior Collie girl looking for her new home. Shadow came into our care with a skin condition, but she is now doing great & really coming along well. Her coat still has some growing to do, but that will come with time.

Shadow has been a complete character since she came into care. Honestly, we are all absolutely mad about her & she REALLY has made a huge impression on everyone. She is unique in her own special way. She is soulful, she is loving. She is beautiful & she would make a wonderful addition to light up a new home.

When you see Shadow, you see her ball. They come hand in hand. It's an understatement to say she's obsessed 🤣

Shadow can be an only dog in her new home where she can get lots of attention, but she is also very good with other dogs. In saying this, her toys take priority & sometimes she's selective with who she shares them with!

We had a special visitor in today and surprised him with a birthday cake !

Remember Coby who was taken in by our welfare inspector in January? This poor, elderly boy was looking for a long-term foster home. We wanted to give you all an update as many people were interested in helping him out. Coby is coming along so well. He has gained his weight back, loves his new dog friends & he is finally learning to live again, even at his ripe old age.

A huge thank you to the absolutely wonderful lady who took Coby into her home and settled him into his new life. We know the before photos are sometimes hard to look at, but that's exactly what they are. The before, in the past, and will be long forgotten about. Seeing them side by side with the after photos, as he is now, in the present - this is what it's all about.

When we think of rescue, we think of the 3 R's - Rescue, Rehabilitate, Re-home.

While this is the case for Coby, we also want to highlight the strength it took for him as a senior dog to get this far. He was resilient, he was trusting, he was hopeful and after all of his previous misfortune, he was still willing, and able, to show love.

A huge thank you goes to Riverside Veterinary Hospital for starting him on his road to recovery 💕

While we have been quiet on social media,we have been very busy here at Riverside Veterinary Hospital since our last post! Consultations ,surgeries, vaccines , grooms , our shop and of course giving cuddles have kept us busy and we would like to thank all of our clients for their continued support and trusting us with your furry family members !
