Andrew was in recently when he wasn’t feeling very well, he got some medicine from vet Kayleigh and he’s feeling so much better ❤️ isn’t Andrew the cutest bun 🥰🥰
How cute is Buddy’s bubblebutt 🤣🤣🥰🥰🥰🥰 He was in to have a tumour removed and he was the best boy ❤️ he went home wagging his butt just the same 😬
Beautiful boy “Harrison” getting his blood pressure checked on our new Doppler. Thankfully Harrison is absolutely healthy. It’s important as animals get older to get regular health checks. Cats especially can suffer with high blood pressure as they get older. It can go undetected for sometime which may then lead to kidney disease, heart disease, fluid in the lungs and even blindness. Harrison was very well behaved and enjoyed his dreamie treats and rubs.
How cute is this baby Swallow!! Roisin our receptionist is hand rearing 3 of them ❤️ they will be returned to the wild when they are old enough 🥰
This poor dog came in this morning for a procedure, the owner walked her down to us (not a far walk) at 9am. Her temp on arrival was 40 degrees, as you can see she was in ALOT of distress. Her temp rose to 41.4, normal temp for a dog is 38-39. Luckily 25 mins later after ALOT of care (fast cooling with water) her temp was 38 and she was far happier. PLEASE don’t walk your dog today at all. See comments for after pics.
This is a view looking through a microscope lens. It is magnified for us to see. What your seeing moving is a Sarcoptes Scabiei mite! They borrow into the skin and cause intense itching 🥴🥴 they also infect people! They are usually very difficult to find but Vet Cora found this one on a skin scrape of a very itchy dog!
We had a very interesting case recently. This video is of the lovely “Dozer” who was brought into us recently. As you can see from the video he displayed strange symptoms. He had tremors and rigid limbs, raised eyebrows and strained facial expression. He also was struggling to eat or drink, he couldn’t open his mouth very wide. He basically just stood at home panting the poor chap. Vet Emma recognised the symptoms and suspected Tetanus! Which is very unusual in dogs as they have a natural resistance to the toxin. He had no wounds which is usually how the neurotoxin infects. He was given the tetanus anti toxin, antibiotics and brought back in each day for repeated antibiotic injections. He improved slowly each day and thankfully made a full recovery!! The video in the comments is him back to his happy self!!!
Oh “Mickey” 😂😂 he’s such a special cat 🤣
Pretty bad case of ear mites in this dog 🥺🥺 can you imagine how itchy this would be 😫😫

This is a tapeworm that was vomited up by a cat brought into us today. Unusual to be in the stomach, it lives in the intestine. Cats get them from licking fleas on there coat or an infected mouse etc this cat was very very underweight. As tapeworms are part of the flea lifecycle it’s important to treat for fleas and tapeworm to rid of the parasite.
This cat was into us recently. She was wearing a flea collar bought in a pet shop. The owners thought she would be flea free 🙈🙈 Please buy flea treatment from your vets. Flea collars do not work. This cat was under general anaesthetic when the video was taken.
