New Arrival at Secret Valley!

Meet our newest (and hairiest!) resident — a Brazilian Bird-Eating Tarantula!

This incredible spider was kindly donated by byrne carty and is settling in beautifully in its new home.

It's already showing off one of its superpowers: camouflage! Can you spot it in the photo? Look closely — it’s blending perfectly into its new habitat.

And don’t worry — despite their fearsome name, tarantulas are quite gentle. The worst they can do is flick a few itchy hairs your way or give a little nip, which feels about the same as a bee sting!

While they do have venom, it’s far too mild to harm humans (unless you’re allergic, just like with bees).

Come and see if you can find our camouflaged new friend during your next visit!

Secret Valley is saddened to announce the passing of our last Corsac Fox Shy. She arrived at the park with her 3 sisters from emerald park in 2013 and since then they have been fundamental part of Secret Valley. Shy peacefully passed at the ripe old age of 14. She will be truly missed.
