We’ve had a busy few days preparing to assist with the construction of another major infrastructure project.

Alpha Marine is providing support vessels to the ship that is installing the Irish cable landing for Greenlink Interconnector Limited which is the new electricity inter connector between Wexford and Pembrokeshire in Wales.

Alpha Marine together with partners Ultrabeam Hydrographic has successfully completed the fieldwork for the Geophysical Survey of the Clogherhead Offshore Windfarm site. This site investigation represents a landmark project for ESB and Ireland's journey towards 7GW of clean, renewable, Offshore Wind Energy by 2030. There were over 80 operational fieldwork days logged and thousands of line kilometers acquired. Special thanks to ESB, our project partners Ultrabeam Hydrographic Irish Mainport, Garant Group & Hamilton Shipping (Port Services) Ltd. We couldn't have done it without Dun Laoghaire Harbour who assisted our every move. Thanks also to RPS.

It's been a pleasure and we're delighted to have played our part.

Alpha Marine’s three vessels have been demobilizing in home port of Wicklow after a flying start to 2022. All three have been busy in offshore renewable energy and marine civils projects on the east coast and in Northern Ireland, helped all the time by extremely benign weather at sea.

Time now for some essential maintenance and essential rest for our crews. Well done to all concerned.

If you have projects offshore or nearshore this year contact Alpha Marine at [email protected] to see how we can assist.
