Roundwood Veterinary Practice seeks a veterinary nurse to help expand our team!

Independent practice just 30 minutes from Dublin. 20 to 30 hours per week (rota can be flexible to suit individuals needs), every second Saturday 9:30 to 12. No OOH.

Our team currently consists of two experienced vets, an experienced nurse (two nurses, once you join) and two support staff.

Relaxed, casual working environment with friendly clientele. All mod cons in house.

Salary €15-€17 per hour DOE, VCI and CPD funded.

Mochi and her little sister Bear were visiting last week for their second vaccinations 🐈‍⬛ Bear took the opportunity to smack her big sister!

Attention all dog owners 🐶🐾🦴 Please watch this informational video on the reasons to vaccinate your canine companions 🐾 Puppies should receive two initial vaccinations, one when there are 8 weeks old and then the second, 4 weeks later when they are 12 weeks old. They should then receive a yearly booster to keep them protected against harmful diseases 🦠 Please contact the clinic for more information or to book in 💕

Nematodirus only affects lambs as ewes have a strong immunity. The parasite develops to its infective form within the egg, which is thick-walled and very resistant to damage. Hatching requires a specific set of environmental conditions, namely freezing, followed by a temperature exceeding 100C for several days. When this occurs, eggs can hatch en masse very quickly, providing a sudden and very high infection challenge. This is known as the ‘spring flush’ and often coincides with lambs becoming more reliant on grazed grass at 6 – 8 weeks old.
