That phonecall from James Arboretum Home & Garden Heaven kilquade to say straw is needed for the reindeers is one of the happiest calls to get .I bumped into my wonderful former boss Eamonn Williams who asked " What are you up to" ?.Straw for the reindeers Eamon was the reply ! Why does that not surprise me he said!! lol. ! .They escaped for a break.before their very busy night on Dec 25th ..you can see them chilling at Arboretum free of charge at the end of the garden..It's beginning to look alot like Christmas..keep safe all ..back at market tomorrow with all things lamb candles ..its going to be cold but fabulous x

Our Christmas 'Winter at Kilmullen' candles are in and the Christmas bauble are back too.The scent is of apple cinnamon and Clove..just like there is a tart in the oven ..nearly as much joy! Available at Airfield Estate from this Friday..and farm collection 4.30 to 6pm.They really are beautiful..we also have our Herbs of the Hedgerow and Roses of the Garden available too.See you soon ho ho ho .Made for us by Wix and Wax Ireland awarding winning candle makers ..

A wonderful night at the IFA farming awards..
I was a guest of the lovely Ursula Kelly of ..10 farming women all with farming background..We had some great laughs and a late night was had.
It was lovely to connect with others ..and get their fresh perspective on all things farming.

The sheep bedding from last year composted and spread around the land again acting as nature's fertiliser.. at its best. It also acts as a great fertiliser for the roses.

A massive thank you to all involved in what can only be described as a day of huge learnings , fun ,and divine food for all of us. was key to its success so thank you . Wonderful insights from Lyndsey and Catherine on what it takes to run their businesses. The questions flew in from the floor and each one answered with honesty humour filled with gold nuggets.

It was lovely to welcome to the farm today as part of their Newcastle hunt.A beautiful sight as the hounds headed across the land .
Unfortunately no stirrup cup due to work..but the scene of the hounds and horses was just lovely.

Onwards the apples go to Con Trass the applefarmer in Tipperary..to be turned into something sublime.
In the meantime back at Airfield Estate estate tomorrow and Sat with gorgeous selection of lamb.Farm collection 4.30pm to 6pm .
Due to the appearance on Neven's coastal trails we cannot take boxed lamb orders for the moment .. see our website where you can leave a message and we will get in touch.
It has been an extraordinary response .

A massive thank you to all who supported us with the sweetcorn.It is finished .A very complicated crop ..it went into the ground late as the ground was so wet from a wet April early May.We hoped we would gain it back the other end but unfortunately the Summer was just not hot enough.This is why it is not normal to grow it here in Ireland .;) A massive thank you to Sam the 'corn king ' Sylvester Bourke Arklow , Siobhan Bourke, Frances Bourke, Conor Bourke and the wonderful Mollie Bourke for the best cake and tea in Wicklow ! Definitely a family affair.We will review when we come up for air but apples need to be picked ! So we are off corn 🌽 then apples!! Does anything grow in Jan? A little break would be nice.!!!
What will it taste like ? Time will tell .
Missing Ernest and wishing him very well .This was his special task .He is up to date on all the goings on here so all is well.He is very happy and that is all that matters.

Gorgeous 'gate to plate ' this evening trading some home grown tomatoes and flowers for some corn ...with Sofi and her lovely Dad.
It never ceases to amaze me how people love to buy direct..its so lovely to make the connection.In a world where AI seems to be taking over ..you can't get connection with Ai ..or community ..then to see Sam and Conor take off with corn and own it ..They met fantastic people at St Anne's park Raheny delighted ..building the seeds of entrepreneurship....Tomorrow Herbert Park Market see Sam there on his own!

We offer a full livery service with beautiful facilities suitable for all ages and level of riding.We have a 60x40 outdoor arena , a lunge arena , a cross country with 20 plus jumps.Stables are large with quality hay and silage provided with water drinkers.
