Association for Service Dogs in Israel

Association for Service Dogs in Israel Service dogs do more than lead the blind: Post here to increase public awareness and public access rights for all service dog partners in Israel.

There is tremendous potential to expand the number and types of individuals partnered with service dogs here in Israel. The public is generally accepting of the concept, even if they never heard of mobility assistance dogs before. But there is a need for a source of information: What can service dogs do? Where are trainers who know how to prepare the dogs for their varied roles and then train and

follow up with partners? What does the law really say about non-blind guide service dogs? What are the rights and responsibilities of dogs, partners, and bystanders in the public space? I hope this page brings together everyone with an interest in sharing our experiences and expertise.
