2023 seems to have stopped on the seventh of October ,but so that we all get strength let’s remember some of the successes we had in 2023:
We received this year thousands of phone calls about animals in distress at the call center and the ambulances went out to rescue 1932 dogs and cats who came to our clinic.
Since the seventh of October we rescue dozens of animals from war zones with the help of soldiers and dear citizens. We rescue Bzik from Kibbutz Zikim and after he was treated and rehabilitated he got adopted to a lovely home.
In 2023 we spayed, vaccinated and neutered 787 dogs and 12,922 cats that will live now a much healthier life.
Our legal department succeeded in closing the death pound in Tzur Moshe after a hard undercover investigation which we held there.
We also managed to save wild animals ,when the court dismissed the plan to a new highway in Jerusalem.
We issued the animals condition report the most comprehensive report ever done on the subject and demanded the police stop using horses in demonstrations.
You were all shocked from Toki's case that came to us after being used all her life for litters of puppies for sale with your donations we rehabilitated Toki and to our delight this doll is being pampered in a wonderful home.
This year 416 dogs and 274 happy cats were adopted and got lovely homes.
We start a new year but the war continues and we continue to be in the war zones all the time, to distribute bags of food and feed the animals in the north and south and to rescue and locate dogs and cats that were lost to the evacuees.
We held a moving adoption day at the Hostages Square to make the abductees voices heard the ones who love animals and must return to them.
We've long known ,only together we will win and only because of your donations and adoptions we can continue being there for them.
We wish 2024 brings them all home.
Brave Danny got to us in a state of total exhaustion. At the hospital, tests showed she had Leishmania, usually caused by sand fly bites. The disease caused extreme emaciation, kidney damage, severe skin lesions and a general imbalance in her blood works.
With your help in donations, and after a long hospitalization, Danny is now ready to go home!
Danny is waiting at our Ashkelon clinic. For details please call *3703 ext. 7
This sweet girl has done the incredible!
When we picked her up, Nasif couldn't even stand up and was crying in pain.
We rushed her to the hospital as she exhibited severe neurological signs: stretched neck, severe eye inflammation, and was almost non responsive.
For long weeks Nasif was treated and ahs made the most heartwarming transformation! Now she can stand, walk and run. She's a bit unstable still but that just adds to her adorableness.
Nasif is 6 months old, waiting at our Kfar Ruth shelter. For details call *3703 ext. 3 or send a WhatsApp message to 054-5351022
More than three weeks of fighting and we continue our work for the animals in the south, and since last week have also started distributing animal food to feeders in the north. Yael Arkin CEO of Let the Animals Live in an interview about the animals who need us all to rally and help right now.
One month ago, captain Tal Groshka found an abandoned puppy and brought him home
. In an eery coincidence he named him "Be'eri" but his family said that wasn't a good name for a dog and that he should be named "Berry" instead.
Tal was killed in battle on his way to try and defend the people of Kfar Aza in that black Saturday.
Berry, Tal's dog, sits by his grave and can't understand where his hero has gone. We send our condolences to Tal's family and friends and a big hug to sweet Berry
When sirens blazed in Ashkelon, with no shelter in the house, Yariv Eliyahu held Ray, his beloved dog of 11 years, and tried to shield him with his own body. Yariv and Ray were badly injured when a rocket hit their home. Yariv was admitted to the burn unit at the hospital, hooked up to oxygen and sedation. Ray, who was also burned, was taken by our ambulance to the veterinary hospital. Today they met for the first time and no one could hold back the tears. Beloved Yariv and Ray, we send you a big hug and wish you both a speedy recovery and to be together again soon!

Operation food delivery for animals in the south:
Four Let the Animals Live vehicles set out to the south full of dog and cat food, with a team of rescuers and veterinarians, to help as many animals as possible.
We gave out dog and cat food all over the south.
We met with "Brothers in Arms" and gave them dog and cat food to dispense in the Gaza Envelope area and in places we cannot reach.
And we rescued a dog that had been left behind and returned him to his loving family.
We will continue to do everything we can to help as many animals as possible.
We thank Biopet for donating some of the food, Gali Davidson from the animal protection department at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Dr. Eran Green the municipal veterinarian for Kfar Saba and Ra'anana.
Help community-cat feeders who have been enlisted and put out food and water in your neighborhood.

It was exactly one year ago when little Yana got to us on the verge of death, following severe abuse.
To this day, Yana suffers from the head injury she sustained, which caused a skull fracture. Yana has epilepsy and is getting medication to prevent spasms.
In addition, her eye sight has been damaged, but she manages just fine relying on her sense of smell.
Yana has a slight problem with sensory regulation and when she’s excited she can be very oral.
She’s very sweet, happy, friendly, but because of everything she’s been through, we are having a hard time finding her the right family.
Yana is looking for experienced adopters in a house with no small children.
Yana is taking part of our Foster for Life project, which means her adoption is completely cost free. All medical expenses will be covered by us, and you get two bags of food courtesy of Biopet.

Always adopt, never shop!
Tuki's video shook the country. Thousands of people responded with rage and couldn't believe the type of horrifying neglect Tuki was found in was possible, and all for the sake of greed. We want to let you all know Tuki is a real fighter. She's had surgery to remove her eyes. Her wounds have been cleaned and all the maggots removed and she is recovering. Thank you so much for giving her the opportunity to start a new life. And this time we'll ensure she goes to a perfect home. Tuki's story is the story of thousands of mothers in the breeding industry. You don't see them ever because what's shown online is a picture of a cute puppy on the grass.
When you come buy the puppy, you don't know what's hiding behind closed doors. The puppies often have genetic deformities because the breeders breed parents with their offspring or siblings. We see problems in skeleton structure, breathing problems, heart problems, organs that do not develop properly, and other birth defects. They're scamming you! And what's worse, is that you take part in the endless abuse of tens of thousands of dogs every year. Please spread this information so that we can reach other mothers like Tuki, who are kept right now in dark storage rooms, covered in their own feces. We want to reach them and put an end to the terrible trading of these pure souls who have been turned into machines, by the cruel hands of people.
To help us save more lives like Tuki's, please make a donation at https://www.letlive.org.il/?page_id=37619
