📢 Capacity Development Workshop on Financial Management (PPP)
📍 Organised by Agartala Smart City Limited (ASCL)
🤝 Supported by Asian Development Bank (ADB)

As part of the Agartala City Urban Development Project (ACUDP), a focused Capacity Development Workshop on Financial Management with a special focus on Public-Private Partnership (PPP) was successfully conducted by Finance Expert Mr. Nitin Suri.

The workshop aimed to build institutional capacities and enhance understanding of PPP frameworks, risk management, and financial structuring for sustainable urban infrastructure development. Participants from ASCL, AMC, TUDA, and UDD actively engaged in discussions on innovative financing models to drive public services and urban transformation in Agartala.

💡 The session highlighted real-world case studies, project risk allocations, and actionable strategies tailored for Agartala’s evolving urban ecosystem. This initiative is a crucial step toward enabling smart, inclusive, and financially viable urban development.

👏 Special thanks to all participants, ASCL team, and ADB for their continued support in strengthening urban governance through knowledge sharing and expert guidance.

Hard Copies of Exposure Visit Report Submitted to Hon’ble Mayor, Agartala Municipal Corporation

As part of the Capacity Development initiatives under the Agartala City Urban Development Project (ACUDP), the hard copies of the Exposure Visit Report have been formally submitted to the respected Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation.

The exposure visit, supported by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), was conducted in Maharashtra from 24th to 28th February 2025, with participation from 15 corporators. The report, prepared in collaboration with BCC and WASH Expert Dr. Rakesh Kumar Bhatt, captures best practices and innovative approaches in urban management and service delivery.

These insights are expected to contribute significantly to the ongoing urban development efforts in Agartala, especially in areas related to Behavior Change Communication (BCC), Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH), and community-based interventions.

We extend our gratitude to the Hon’ble Mayor for his support and commitment towards building a resilient and inclusive city.
