As of my last update in September 2021, there's no universally agreed-upon dosage, but a general guideline is around 15 to 20 mg of curcumin per pound of body weight.

Keep in mind that curcumin is the active compound in turmeric, so when choosing a turmeric supplement or powder, make sure to check the curcumin content. Here's a rough calculation:

Calculate your dog's weight in pounds.
Multiply the weight by the recommended curcumin dosage (15-20 mg).
Use this calculated amount to determine the appropriate amount of turmeric supplement or powder.
For example, if you have a 20-pound dog and you're aiming for 15 mg of curcumin per pound:

20 lbs x 15 mg/lb = 300 mg of curcumin

Please note that it's always best to consult your veterinarian before adding any supplements to your dog's diet. Turmeric can interact with certain medications or might not be suitable for dogs with specific health conditions. Your vet can provide personalised guidance based on your dog's needs.
