How far are we willing to go for the street animals of Bangalore?
If the numbers are anything to go by, we can undoubtedly say - quite the distance.
CARE has 4 ambulances with dedicated drivers that zip across the streets of Bangalore and any true citizen of Bengaluru will know that it is no mean task. Braving the city's infamous traffic, our drivers keep their eyes focused on the road and the task at hand - to reach the animal that needs to be rescued. They coordinate with reporters, find the right location and then comes the task of capturing the animals. Sometimes, it's easy, other times, the (not so) clever animals make our catchers run far and fast. After a whole lot of action in the blazing sun, it is now time to drive them back to the trauma care facility. Then there are the releases - Dropping healed community animals back to their streets, to home ground.

Ambulance trips play a crucial part in the rescue cycle that marks the beginning and the end of a successful rescue.

Here's a shoutout to all our ambulance drivers and attenders who make a difference in the lives of street animals every single day.

Through interactive and fun-filled awareness programs in schools across Bengaluru, we teach students the importance of rabies prevention, empathy for community animals, and the power of coexistence.

Together, we are nurturing young minds to be the change-makers for a safer and kinder tomorrow.

Grade 9, 10 and 11 of St Joseph's High School came for a field trip to Care and interacted with our animals and staff. They learnt safe ways of interacting with pets and community animals, emphasizing the importance of kindness and coexistence. The team from also educated them on dog bite prevention and the importance of vaccinations and post bite care.
Captain and Sky, our Reception Dogs listened in rapt attention too.
A visit to a shelter can be both educational and fun,
for school children across different age groups.

PAWS Thrissur is flooded and while they are doing their best to keep their animals safe, we decided to send a few urgently required things like medicines and dog beds their way. We also connected with Drools and they very generously sent across 300 kg of Dog Food. We would like to thank @dr.shashanksinha and @droolsindia for their timely help by sending out the bags of dog food immediately. Our team left this morning to Thrissur with all the supplies and we hope the situation gets better soon.
