Today is National Day of Persons with Disabilities, and we want to share a story that’s very close to our hearts.
In 2015, just outside our office, we found a little pup, crying in pain after being hit by a car. His front legs were severely injured, and sadly, one had to be amputated. When our COO, Rahul Sanon, adopted Trooper, he gave him not just a home but a life filled with love and possibilities. And true to his name, Trooper never gave up. He fought with all his might and learned to walk on just two hind legs. He climbs stairs, plays outside, and lives each day to the fullest.
Trooper showed us that the words we use matter. He wasn’t “disabled” — he was handicapable. His love for life, and for everyone around him, taught us that every animal, no matter their challenges, deserves love, joy, and comfort.
Trooper’s journey also helped us realize that caring for pets with special needs is a tough road, but no pet parent should feel they’re walking it alone. That’s why we created TROOPER—a line of support gear made with love, backed by research, designed to make life easier for pets with special needs and their parents.
We’re here for every pet and every pet parent, because love has no limits. And together, we’ll make sure every animal gets the care and comfort they deserve. 🧡
