Rajyalakshmi Reghuraj, met at Anchor Hall, Bangalore Club, to form The Bangalore Canine Club. The main aim of the club was to serve the dedicated Breeders, Exhibitors, Judges, Handlers Dog Owners and other Enthusiasts who make the Sport of Dogs a Cherished Institution. Having held the very first dog Show in December 1998, The Bangalore Canine Club has been holding very successful shows ever since,

spearheaded under the able leadership of
Mr. Reguraj as The President, .We have hosted many Specialties including the Golden retriever, Dobermans, and the Boxer Specialties and also a National Dog Show in 2003 which is still spoken very highly of, even to date! The spirit of the exhibitors, spectators combined with the enthusiasm of the entire BCC team make our shows one of the highly competitive and exciting events in dogdom. True to its aim, Bangalore Canine Club advocates Canine Good Health &Responsible Ownership and advances the Integrity of the Breeding and Sporting of Purebred Dogs. We are proud to announce that BCC office operates one of the Country’s Largest Registries of Purebred Dogs,

National Domestic Breeds Dog Show in Bengaluru on Nov 19, 20

Bangalore, November 16, 2022: Bangalore Canal Club's 53rd and 54th Championship Dog Show and Silicon City Canal Club's 125th and 126th Championship Dog Show will be held jointly on November 19 and 20 at Heera Farms near Devanahalli, Bangalore Canal Club Secretary Santosh has announced

Speaking at a press conference held at the press club of the city today, he said that the competition on the breed of dogs is a special feature of this championship. Judges from countries like Japan and Netherlands will select the winning dog based on the breed and purity of the dog.

He said “Mudhol, a popular dog of Indian breed, will be the main attraction of this championship. The Mudhol breed of dog, is widely used in the Indian Army and the Prime Minister's defence team. Parameters such as What kind of beauty, physique, form and growth as per age will be taken into consideration. The main objective of the competition is to identify the breeds of our country and encourage them to nurture them, he said.

Treasurer of Bangalore Canal Club Amrit Hiranya said, “Participating dog breeds will be compared for similarities and resemblance to the original breed and will be rewarded. The objective of the program is to encourage ethical breeding and domestic dog breeds like Mudhol, Rajapalayam, Kanni, Kombai among others. A drawing competition is also organized for children on Sunday (November 20). Besides, with the aim of inculcating love towards dogs among children, activities such as combing them, cleaning their ears and nails, and learning about them have been arranged"

Dog lovers will get a chance to celebrate with the indigenous Mudhol breed of dog along with various breeds of dogs participating in this special event. In the press conference held today, the breeders of Mudhol breeds who had arrived from Mudhol attracted everyone's attention by participating in the press conference along with the dogs they have bred.
