This lovely girl has trouble breathing because of a condition called BRACHYCEPHALIC AIRWAY SYNDROME
This condition is an inherited defect commonly seen in brachycephalic dogs (dogs having a flat face) and generally occurs with a combination of conditions namely stenotic nares, elongated soft palate, everted laryngeal saccules, laryngeal collapse which can cause an obstruction of the upper respiratory tract making it difficult for the dog to breathe
This girl had only an elongated soft palate which was surgically corrected by removing the excess of the soft palate
So if your brachycephalic dog is having trouble breathing don't forget to get it checked and corrected as it can drastically improve the quality of your pet's life
