Tokyo is a lovable soul who likes to chase things. One day when he was trying to chase butterflies he fell from the first floor. He was very lucky to have his life spared but ended up with broken bones. The fracture was causing him chronic pain and lameness. The X-ray revealed femur fracture. Casting was not preferable in such cases and we at Tejas Petcare chose to perform fracture repair surgery.

Femur Fractures are the most common long bone fractures and in such cases, Intramedullary pinning is the quickest and cheapest form of fracture repair available. IM pins improve fracture stability by significantly reducing local strain at the fracture site.

Within Hours After Surgery Tokyo was up and exploring things around. His complete healing took around 7 weeks. Dogs are tough and they have to be restricted from running around in the initial days after surgery.

Chinamma (a 6-year-old Indie dog) was brought to our notice by residents of tadepalligudem. She was suffering from a huge tumor in her Mammary glands. Unable to walk she was dragging her saggy glands. She is a tiny little soul with a huge burden on her breasts. Tears welled up from our eyes after seeing her painful situation. She must have been through a vicious cycle of delivering enormous puppies every year, that brought her into this torturous situation. We at Tejas petcare have performed surgery to remove the tumor weighing almost 6kgs. We felt a sense of relief in her eyes after surgery and she thanked us with her wagging tail.

Female dogs go through immense suffering. Every year they bring to life new puppies, only to be shattered to see them dying due to lack of food or getting crushed under vehicles. The only plausible solution to this is Spaying. Spaying averts the risk of cancers in female dogs as well as protects them from delivering unwanted puppies. we urge everyone to sterilize strays around you.
