Our old Animal Shelter Needs Your Help!

Our animal shelter is full, with both our inpatient facility for rehabilitation and our old age home at capacity. We are urgently appealing for your help to adopt some of our young dogs so that we can make space for more animals in need.

Young dogs are full of energy and love, and they make wonderful companions. They are also more adaptable than older dogs, so they can settle into a new home more easily.

If you are thinking about getting a dog, please consider adopting one of our young dogs. You will be giving a deserving animal a loving home and helping us to continue our work of caring for animals in need.

To adopt and enquiries Please contact 9841588852.

Aravind Vimal David and Ashwini are the kindest souls we know. They have been a pillar of support to us from the very beginning, and we are so grateful for their generosity and compassion. They have virtually adopted Moose the mastiff, and they recently helped our shelter animals with blood work examinations. This was a special day for them as it was the 66th birth anniversary of their beloved Motger Sheriene David. They wanted to do this noble cause in her memory. We thank Aravind David and Ashwini David for everything that you do for animals and humans. You are truly an inspiration to us all.

ROA Shelter’s House of Iniyan (our post operative ward) recently helped rehabilitate this little chap, Kanna, who was rescued and treated for an eye wound. He also underwent an ABC surgery at a private hospital post which he spent 10 days in our care. Animals require proper attentive care like giving medicines on time and changing dressings and our team has ensured Kanna’s successful recovery and rehabilitation. He is happily back where he belongs! If you have a small animal that requires post operative care, you can message us here or contact +91-9841588852 to book a ward.

At ROA Shelter we are currently taking care of around 50+ old age and differently abled animals that require extra attention and special care. We are committed to giving the animals here the best care and the healthiest life they can lead. We have spacious enclosures to give enough space for our dogs, cats and pigs to live comfortably. We have built a specific nutritional meal plan based on every dog’s age, weight and other medical conditions. ROA Shelter is also home to many dogs with birth deformity and they are boarded at a separate rehabilitation space within our shelter. The dogs are walked twice a day to ensure they’re healthy and active. Our team of caretakers and volunteers give the utmost attention to every single detail while taking care of our animals.

ROA Shelter is also an open space that thrives amidst a lot of greenery and our animals can be found happily playing around during their walks! Our shelter is open from 10am to 5pm and we are most happy to show around our shelter during these times for visitors. We are committed to the cause of ensuring our animals get a lot of care, attention and love, and we request you to visit the shelter.

Ranjit Shelter by Dinesh Baba was started in July last year, and as you all know by now, it solely looks after the dogs and other animals in the twilight years of their life and disabled ones. Ranjit shelter seeks your help in contributing towards dry food bags and rice. Support is also required in volunteering and regular visits to the shelter. Being a shelter started less than a year ago it is yet to become financially steady. Your continued help will go a long way in providing the animals here the best of everything that they need.

It was reported that this slightly agressive black male labrador was found abandoned in Injambakkam and needed to be rescued. We were able to get him on to our ambulance and bring him to our shelter. We estimate his age to be around 2 years. He seems to be anemic. We will have him examined first and treatment will start thereafter.
