खरसाङ क्षेत्रबाट कोरोना संक्रमित व्यक्तिहरूलाई त्रिवेणी कोभिड अस्पताल उपचार्थ लगिएको थियो। उहाँहरुको आखिरी जाँच अनुसार कोरोना नेगेटिभ पाइयो। उहाँहरुलाई घर जानु अघि उहाँहरुलाई परामर्श दिँदै अस्पतालका एक अधिकारी ले उहाँहरुलाई बधाई दिँदै भन्नु भयो,
तपाईंहरू खरसाङ बाट कोरोना पोजिटिभ भएर आउनुभएको थियो। अहिले नेगेटिभ भएर घर फर्कनु हुँदैछ। तपाईहरुले अब घर गाउँमा गएर हाम्रो मानिसलाई सम्झाउनु पर्छ। अहिले कोरोना पोजिटिभ भयो भन्ने बित्तिकै मानिसहरू छि छि दूर दूर गर्छन। संक्रमित भएको मान्छेको घरमा न जाऊ भन्छन। उनीहरुलाई सामाजिक बहिष्कार गर्छन। यस्तो चलन अहिले पहाडमा व्याप्त छ। तर वास्तवमा पहाड बाँचेको छ मानवताले। मानवता बढी मात्रामा पाइने। ठाउँ भनेको नै पहाड हो। कोही मान्छे राती कसैको घर पुगे उनलाई वास दिने मानवता हाम्रो पहाडमा मात्र बाँचेको छ। य
Tribeni has been making consistent progress under the guidance of the GTA Chairman, Mr Anit Thapa. Today this hospital in the beautiful location of Teesta has not only put the best use of the unused facility but has quickly been upgraded into a full-fledge COVID19 hospital. It now has it's own fully functional COVID19 testing laboratory.
It has ventilators, True NAT machines, Molbio True NAT Machines, etc. In addition, now it also has Dialysis machine, RO plant for Dialysis, X-Ray machine, Ultra Sonography machine and Oxygen Supply. The patients who require dialysis now doesn't have to travel till Siliguri any more. The lab has well-trained technicians.
It is a very good example of teamwork and what can be achieved if the people and the Administration can work hand in hand.

From past more than 4 weeks, the GTA and various volunteers are working day and night to make sure all the people who were returning back to the GTA region were received at NJP, Siliguri Junction bus stop and Bagdogra were all attributed, scanned and tested before entering the GTA region. As time progressed we also made sure they received food and waters, from our community kitchen in Siliguri. It has been a huge team effort and it takes immense mental and physical strength to work under so much pressure and round the clock. Kudos to all volunteers and your efforts will not be forgotten. Your efforts are one of the major reasons why Darjeeling Hills could stop the coronavirus from spreading. A big thanks to all of you.
I would like to immensely thank our Driver brothers, who have been plying the people from Siliguri to Darjeeling and Kalimpong, plus to their respective homes thereafter, without caring too much of their health. When people were scared due to the fear of transmission of coronavirus, you all showed ultimate bravery to come forward and transporting people, who wanted nothing but to reach their home. You have not seen the time or weather but fulfilled your duties in the need of the hour.
We would like to thank District Magistrates of Darjeeling and Kalimpong, Superintendent of Police of Darjeeling and Kalimpong, SDOs, RTOs, MVIs, Inspector in Charge in thana and all the helpdesk in GTA region for providing complete support in this time of the crisis. There were 800+ cars provided from the DM office, 300+ cars were provided by the GTA and 3 buses to transport more than 10,000 people to the GTA region.
Now as the lockdown has normalized and private vehicles, public transport and government transport has started plying for which we have decided to stop the free transport provided by the GTA starting 18th June. The free service will be available for a limited section of people in need, for Senior Citizens who come late in the night to Siliguri.
