🥑 CRUCIAL SAFETY WARNING FOR EXOTIC PET OWNERS 🛑
With National Avocado Day approaching on July 31st, we want to share a life-saving warning for our bird-loving community. While avocados are a healthy treat for humans, they are highly toxic and fatal to birds.
⚠️ Why are Avocados Dangerous?
Persin Toxicity: Avocados contain a fungicidal toxin called persin.
Fatal Effects: Ingesting even small amounts can cause rapid respiratory distress, fluid accumulation around the heart, and sudden death.
Highly Vulnerable Species: This toxin is especially fatal to Macaws, African Greys, Amazons, and Galahs.
🛑 Strict Rule: DO NOT FEED!
Keep avocados, guacamole, and any avocado-infused foods completely out of reach from your feathered friends.
Spread the word to fellow bird owners—awareness saves lives!
