I would like to share some of my practices carried out in my farm..but before I start sharing I would like to inform that m not a Vet expert nor did I studied veterinary it all started from a hobby to a full time pig farmer ( started mid 2017 and still..)
1. In all times never entertain uninformed visitors
2. Daily bath the animals
3. Always keep the sty clean and hygiene
4. Water intake for the animals should be clean
5. Make a boot bath in the entrance of the room
6. Feeds should be fresh and clean
7. After cleaning disinfect the rooms with (potassium permanganate)I've been using this
8. Disinfect the whole compound(B904)
9. Place few naphthalene balls where ur pigs cannot reach.
Regarding disinfectants u can use which is available in your locality..make sure u check the PH level of your Water.. I belive that by maintaining this few steps we can be aware of various diseases,sickness,etc and rear healthy pigs and stay healthy too..
