PET PAWRENTS ALERT!!!
*Canine Distemper (CDV) is a highly contagious fatal viral disease that affects the respiratory, gastrointestinal and central nervous system of dogs.
*2 month old puppy with typical canine distemper signs-
Generalized muscle twitching, chewing gum fits (jaw movements and salivation), pus discharge from the eyes (bilateral), purulent nasal discharge and chorea (Uncontrollable jerky movement of the head).
*That is, it had already reached the third stage where the symptoms get worse with the nervine form.
*Unfortunately, there is NO CURE for Distemper.
*Its just the supportive treatment to prevent secondary bacterial infection.
*All dogs are at risk, but typically young puppies below 4 months of age and older unvaccinated dogs are at the highest risk of contracting CDV.
*The best way to prevent CDV is keeping up with your dog's vaccination.
*Until a puppy has received a full round of CDV and other vaccinations, it should be kept away from public areas and unvaccinated dogs.
*SO PLEASE PLEASE VACCINATE YOUR PETS. AND VACCINATING YOUR PETS DOESN'T MEAN JUST ONE DOSE AND YOU ARE DONE. YOU NEED TO COMPLETE THE FULL ROUND IN ORDER TO KEEP YOUR PETS SAFE FROM THIS DEADLY VIRUS.

*Presenting a 3 month old puppy (Kiko) with regurgitation, profuse vomiting involving gagging and retching, dyspnoea, coughing, aspirating food & liquid through nose and wasting due to starvation.
*This is a case of MEGAESOPHAGUS, most commonly a CONGENITAL MYASTHENIA GRAVIS.
*Megaesophagus is sometimes a deadly affliction which greatly complicates your pets digestion.
*Using a Bailey’s chair will help get the food down and helps in proper and normal digestion. Yes!!! It’s not easy but is not impossible😊
*Thankfully Kiko is doing much better now😊and is loving her chair.
*She gets in by herself for her meals and waits patiently for 30 minutes.
*Well!!! Kiko is on her road to recovery👌🏻

Do you know that long nails can be extremely unhealthy for your pets?
Here’s why??
walking or lameness
paws
pain
nails
inflammation
in posture and gait
-term damage to joints, ligaments and tendons leading to arthritis if your dogs nails are pressing against the ground while walking then it’s time for their trimming.
toe has its own blood supply called quick. It grows along with your pets nails. Which is why it is very difficult to get them short again!!!
why not make it a routine and avoid such problems when you already know what are the problems🙆‍♀️

FELINE PARVOVIRUS.
Yes!!! You heard it right. Like dogs, even cats suffer from Feline parvovirus known as Feline Panleukopenia (FPV)
A highly contagious, often fatal, viral disease of cats most severely affecting kittens and immune compromised cats.
So have you vaccinated your cats yet?? Or it’s a NO. Because most owners think it’s not necessary to vaccinate cats as they don’t need much attention as dogs do.
But it’s ABSOLUTELY WRONG. Vaccination is just as important for strictly indoor cats as for indoor/outdoor cats because virus is everywhere in the environment. So please be a responsible pet parent and vaccinate your pets now. LETS NOT PUT OUR PETS ON PAIN.
