This picture is of Camberley Kate, who was well known in Camberley as the lady who would wander the streets with her “stray dogs” cart and gather up all the waifs and strays. It is said that during her life she rescued and gave a loving home to over 600 homeless dogs.
Today, I’m honouring this inspirational lady who devoted her life to saving dogs. And what a legacy she did leave behind, and to all the animals, we must be kind.

The Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services Deptt. has enhanced the working hours of State Veterinary Poly Clinic, Deorali in Gangtok from 9.30 am till 9 pm on all days including holidays (with a one and half hour break). This is done to cater the increasing demands of veterinary services for livestock and pets in the State for the benefit of livestock farmers and pet owners. The said working hours will be implemented from April 1, 2023.
