Our kitten crossed the rainbow bridge last week💔

“The bravest and the cutest. With the tiniest physique she came with the ability to sway hearts. Our little angel kitten was a warrior adored by all. It's a tragedy, how she had to suffer so much pain and fight through each day. But it was also a blessing for she came with so much love and left with so much more. I hope each of us can learn about love and strength from this powerless little creature who had the strength to beat death and show what real zeal to live is.”

We cannot thank Manisha enough for loving our kitten like her own and looking after her day and night. Also thanks to for being the sweetest brother to our kitty.

A 4 month old abandoned lab let down by her humans.

Ollie first came to us 2 months back due to a family emergency, and was to stay for “a couple of days”. Now this beautiful girl has been patiently waiting for 2 months with no sign of her humans (who also haven't paid for her 2 month stay). She deserves SO much better.

She's a ray of sunshine who loves eating (absolutely anything!), playing fetch, teasing humans & play-fighting with other doggos. She’s human friendly, dog friendly, but hasn’t yet met a cat (we're sure she'll love them too! ).

Ollie will thrive in a home with another dog & lots of space to run & play. She also needs lots of human company 💕

This handsome young boy is 3.5 years old and is a happy addition to an elderly couple. They love him and have been doing their best looking after.
However, they're in their 80s now and unable to look after him well enough.

A young preggo Momma dog alongwith her five puppies was abandoned and dumped near Kharguli, Assam.
Such is the unkind-ness from people who call themselves respected and honored. The dogs have had quite a journey so far. Someone dumped this commune of mom and her five puppies on the day of Dasami in Kharghuli. And then were moved again because they did not quite receive a warm welcome in the foster's apartment complex.

The next in our "Meet our Family" series...!

Introducing Dosa - the most recent addition to the LIF family (and currently our only billi 🐱)

Dosa found us when we were in a dark space. Spending our days taking care of our beautiful Gauri, who was in constant unbearable pain, whilst also dealing with closing down the clinic, Kartik and I were both broken. But on one of our last commutes to the clinic last month, we happened to come across the tiniest little angel, who had plonked himself right in the middle of a main road.

With no mother in sight, without hesitation this little man became part of the family. And he's been an ultimate stress-buster and spirit-lifter ever since! Having rescued the most beautiful duo, Idli & Sambhar (now Lovey & Dovey) a couple of years back, it only seemed natural to christen our next feline angel accordingly! (Can you tell we love south Indian food?) 😋

It's been over a month of loving Dosa, and every day we love him more and more. But we are also increasingly aware of the fact that a life in a family home is what our Dosu needs 💛 we have far too many dogs who like to chase cats to give Dosa the life he deserves. We introduced ourselves as didi and bhaiya(/uncle 🤣) initially, but already we're now changing that to mama and papa! Fostering is dangerous territory 😅

Dosa deserves the world. If you are the best friend he is looking for, we cannot wait to meet you!! We promise, he won't let you down, and will be the best friend you've ever had ❤ also, you'll already have two humans championing your new bff, and didi and bhaiya are here to help every step of the way!

These are the stories that occur every Diwali and every Diwali it breaks our hearts to see and respond to these calls for help. Having been through all of these ourselves, we understand the pain that each family goes through in desperation to find their pet❤️ we hope the kid finds his way back or the strength of social media helps find this loving kid.
