In the depths of my gaze lies a tale of resilience, a story of a soul that has endured the trials of life’s unforgiving path. With one eye lost, a symbol of the battles fought, I sit here, quietly staring, hoping to convey the wisdom that only hardship can bestow.
For the lessons I have learned, I offer a plea to all who cross my path: See beyond the surface, beyond the scars and the missing pieces. We’re happy to share that the horses we reported a few weeks ago have received the treatment they needed, thanks to the efficient response of the designated authorities. A paravet has been appointed for their regular checkups and all the other brick kilns in proximity will also be surveyed every month. We also want to thank for taking action and treating these animals.
We believe that it’s important to speak up for animals in need and we’re glad that we could make a positive impact in their lives.
Let’s continue to work towards a better world for all animals.

This Nilgai was found wandering aimlessly on the outside of a village, emaciated and in distress. A local resident alerted the authorities and the Nilgai was rescued and brought to ACGS. Today, she is healthy and happy living in the safety of the sanctuary.

The Nilgai, also know as the Blue Bull, is a large antelope native to the Indian subcontinent. They are hunted for their meat and skin. The Nilgai is one of the few species of antelope in the world where females have horns. These horns are small and straight and can grow up to 15-24 cm in length. This is an unusual trait in the animal kingdom where horns are typically a male-only feature used for combat and display.

But despite her cute looks and lovable personality, this kitten has had a difficult start in life. She was found abandoned and alone, with no one to care for her or love her. But now, she has a chance to start anew with a loving family who will cherish her for the rest of her life.

In situations where blind cows are present in a herd, it’s not uncommon to observe them moving in a circular pattern. This behavior is known as “circus movement”. This is a way for blind cows to reduce the risk of predation. By staying in a tight group and moving in a circular pattern, they may be less vulnerable to attack from predators that could single out an individual cow. They use the other members of the herd as physical guides. By moving in a circle, blind cows may be following the lead of the cow in front of them, using their sense of touch to maintain a safe distance.
