We had a very small role to play, host "Gucci" during his stay here before he travels back to his family through Airways (as Cabin luggage) from chennai to Abu Dhabi
Trichur -> chennai -> Abudhabi

A big shout to Gobal Cargo (chennai) Arunachalam sir and Muthu for an amazing achievement.

The Benzi Cattery, Hyderabad chapter, turned THREE in September! While we reflect on how far we have come and continue to grow, how about a quick virtual tour of what the facility looks like 🤫😬

A year into hosting the cattos in regular rooms and few sectioned smaller cubicles, we learned so much about what the feline friends prefer and how we can better cater to their needs. Days and nights of brainstorming and a lot of research later, our ideas began taking shape. We went back and forth on the prototype with the designer, a cat parent himself (also our first client in Hyderabad), pitched the idea to some clients for feedback, and put our soul into our brainchild - The Cat Condos 🛖

Increasing indoor spaces vertically came as first priority. We gave equal importance to providing comfortable moving, hiding and lounging spaces for the cats and for one human to step in to interact with the cat. We made sure to include carpeted ledges to allow scratching and glass doors to facilitate socialising.

Both our foster cattos are yet to find their hooman and home! Could we please step up to help?

Tyagi lived in an office premise until lockdown. She then needed a place to stay and made herself home so well that her caretakers decided she's better off as an indoor cat.

Tyagi comes with all the perks of adopting an adult cat. Her personality is sorted and is a purrfect mix of calm and playfulness.

Mimosa who trotted into a bulding demanding food, turned out to be a loud protestor and a cuddle bug, making it for a purrfect indoor cat.

His constant high and cheery energy would be just right if you and/or your cat would like a companion. Also, he plays fetch :)

Both Tyagi and Mimo have been with and for over a month. They have a lot to say about the cattos' personalities as well! 🧡

This burnt bread loaf turns 8 this week!

We do not know when exactly he poked his snout out and welcomed himself into the world. All we know is his mother littered some days before Krishna Janmashtami in 2013.

Looking at his picture, a colleague suggested we call him Sundu, short for sundeli (meaning tiny mouse in Tamil). Since then he's been the sundappai, chundu, sundal, sundumani, sundaali and the likes!

For lack of his better choice or not, this boy has been my constant since. We have had our share of experiencing the peaks and valleys, while looking out for each other in our own weird ways.

He's one of the main reasons for what Benzi Cattery is today 🧡

To many more times of turning to each other for comfort, happy birthday week Sundappai 🐾

'Leo is not going anywhere now' - this is the moment we had been waiting for!

8 YO Persian Neutered Cat - super easy to get adopted right? Those umpteen callers thought so too because:

- wanting to raise a Persian is their aakhri kwaahish
- sadak ke billiyon se zyada khubsoorat
- meri sister ke paas Persian hai, mujhe bhi chahiye
- my female needs a male to mate (despite mentioning that he was sterilised)

We were at wits end when told us there might be a lead for Leo. We crossed our fingers and toes and wished this might be it. Our first call with said depths about her commitment towards raising an animal :)

Many more calls and covid days later, we dropped him on the May 30, 2021. Leo took to the new place like it was his own, instantly bonded with the hoomans like they were his own. We still had one obstacle left to cross - their resident cat, Akira :)

Divya has been probably one of the most patient and persistent of my adopters. She gave Leo almost a month to settle and then began the introduction process. It definitely was not easy. There were times when we feared this adoption might fail and Leo will have to return to us.

Over 3 whole months later, we are at (go read the first line of the content) 😬

Akira and Leo are not pally yet. They do not play yet. But they do not see each other as a threat anymore. They are learning to coexist. Slow and steady. One day at a time.

It's not everyday we come across adopters who give their 200% before calling it quits. Introduction between two animals is no game. It takes time, a lot of strength and not losing your mind. The gradual the introduction, the better for both animals to live peacefully in the long run.
