On this World Water Day, we're proud to highlight Organo's commitment to water resilience:
-Eco-STPs: Ensure zero wastewater discharge, treating and repurposing water for landscaping needs, operational in all seasons including summer, rain, or floods.
-Drip Irrigation: Utilized in farming, with water planning based on evaporation rates for the three major seasons in our project region.
-Dug-Wells: Capacity of over 50-80 lakh litres, acting as water battery banks, harvesting rainwater to ensure self-sufficiency even during droughts.
-Conservation Design: Lawns are limited to just 0.1% of the total area, with native plants and shrubs chosen to support an efficient irrigation network for the entire green area.
On this special occasion, we emphasize our dedication to capturing and conserving rainwater as a sustainable resource for our community, creating a more resilient and water-rich environment for future generations!
Happy World Sparrow Day, everyone! Organo celebrates this little friend, our mascot, who represents harmony between man and animal. On World Sparrow Day today, let's make our spaces a little friendlier for them. Put up a bird nest, some grain, and spaces where they can nest safely; every little bit helps. Thriving together in harmony is the best kind of balance there is!
We can't do a "Birds at Organo" post without our favourite bird: the sparrow. Though they're seen less and less in the city as greenery disappears under artificial turf and other substitutes, they're regular visitors to Organo homes, often spotted on balconies, on banana leaves in the backyards, and hopping along the farm.
Here at Organo, our lush greenery is home to a myriad of radiant members of the wild, and today we take the time to put our feathered friends in the spotlight.

Not often spotted in the city concrete jungle, the Coucal is a ground dweller that we've seen hopping from one spot to another instead of flying. They're big and raucous, like their crow cousins, but have gorgeous rust-coloured feathers against black. Nature truly creates amazing contrasts!
You've definitely seen this pretty and agile little bird in the garden. From Chandigarh to Hyderabad, you can spot them hovering over hibiscuses or other flowers, drinking nectar. The males get bluer during the mating season, which starts pre-monsoon, while the females are yellow, but brightly coloured regardless. They are both active co-parents!
The Black Drongo is often a neighbour to the Golden Oriole and, honestly, a pretty good neighbour to have, considering they'll protect and dive-bomb even bigger birds! They're easy to spot, especially on the road, where you'll see this forked-tailed bird hanging out on power lines, usually in ones or twos.
This aptly named bird is golden in colour and melody! Bold in colour but a shy visitor to Organo homes, they'll start nesting soon as summer begins until August. Keep a sharp eye out; you might spot them picking a choice straw or leaf for their home.
