Let Dogs be Dogs
Canines have evolved from the wild in to a habitat surrounded by humans. To make them fit into our everyday lives, we discourage a lot of their natural behaviors. Foraging, luring, prey hunting, chewing, sniffing, scent marking is innate and comes naturally to dogs in the wild. And these are the very things that we do not encourage. Yes, dogs are social animals and they do need to acquire and learn behaviors to be socially acceptable, but lack of avenues to explore their natural self has served as an outlet for undesirable behaviors like inappropriate chewing, anxious barking, counter surfing and likewise. This balance for canines can be achieved through interesting activities and involvement that encourage natural behaviors.
Fun Dog Club (FDC) is an avenue that brings together fun filled experiences, insights and interactions with canine experts, ideas and activities that not just makes your dog happier but also deepens your bond with your pet.
This unique initiative is brought to you by Rachna (from Skylish – Premium Bakes for Dogs) and Deven (from The Pet Café, Banjara Hills) in collaboration with Sophie Red Reilly, a Canine Enrichment Specialist from United Kingdom. Sophie is in an advisory role to the program. Her business page ‘Canine Enrichment Joy’ has over 11000 happy members connected to her.
FDC lays its foundation on ethics of positive dog management and the ‘Hierarchy of Dog Needs®’, a unique model of wellness and behaviour modification that outlines standards of care and best force-free practices created for everyone who loves a dog.
