A photographer has captured the loving bond between young children and their enormous dogs with a new series of 100 touching images.
The pictures show breeds such as Great Danes and Newfoundlands towering over toddlers, highlighting their mutual love for each other.
Children no taller than 2ft are seen high-fiving their family pets running alongside them and even riding their beloved dogs as if they were a horse. (A.Y.Seliverstoff, Solent News Photo Agency)
Lost and found: Forest ranger ‘adopts’ baby macaque
What does a forest ranger do when he sees a baby monkey wandering alone in the jungle?
He adopts it.
That’s the story of 52-year-old forest ranger surnamed Kuang, who took the month-old macaque under his roof after finding it was lost at the Taihang Mountain Macaque National Nature Reserve in central China’s Henan Province.
And he’s taking care of the baby monkey like his own “kid.”
Kuang bathes the “little guy,” combs its hair and feeds him every day. He also keeps bottled milk, pack of diapers and colorful cloths to wrap his “kid”.
“Thousands of macaques are living in the reserve. They always fight for their own zone and female macaques take care of their own babies only, so the lonely macaque is at the risk of dying,” Kuang told China Foto Press.
Now, Kuang is trying to help his adopted macaque adapt to the nature and train it with some survival skills. Kuang added that he will contact the relevant department to release it to nature after it was deemed fit to survive in the wild.
