Humanity for Animals A Tale of Two States, with one goal. Our street animals need to be cared for and we at HFA strive to give them as much of that as we can.

HUMANITY for ANIMALS is an Ernakulam based organization founded by Actor-Director Ranjini Haridas and Aishwarya Prem, both animal welfare activists from different cities who have come together to make 'active animal welfare' a reality in Ernakulam and the State of Kerala. We, with our animal loving friends whom we cannot function without, believe that all of Gods creations deserve the chance to a

happy, healthy, safe and protected life. HFA intensively works on rescue of injured, abused and neglected street animals. We also vaccinate, spay/neuter, re-home and rehabilitate animals that need our help. We believe that Humanity is not to be restricted only to human welfare. Animals deserve their share of humanity too and we dedicate ourselves to achieving that.

Meet Mowgli, the handsome old boy who saved Jasmine’s life with his selfless blood donation!

Jasmine, our brave pup, was in dire need of a blood transfusion after her terrible accident. That’s when Mowgli stepped in, being the champ that he is!

“UPDATE ON DIWALI PUPPY’S RECOVERY

Diwali Puppy underwent a successful amputation surgery on one leg today! Despite being weak, our brave pup is eating food and on the road to recovery.

However, due to the severity of the injuries sustained from the train accident, the doctor recommends amputating the other leg after a few days of wound healing. Your prayers and support mean the world to this little fighter.

RESCUE STORY

This is little Jasmine .Last week we got a call from rescuer Prabha about an injured pup with a terrible head injury and a broken leg.It was evident that it was an accident case .She had been lying on the road in this condition for three days till Prabha gave us a call and got her admitted .

Appu is a lovely and friendly community dog living beside a busy road. She’s partially blind, having recovered from minor accidents. However, her trusting nature has led to traumatic experiences with strangers.

*Recent Incident*

One of our volunteers discovered Appu with a swollen face. The next day, she was found with multiple wounds and pus-filled swelling. She’s in severe pain, unable to eat or drink.

*Medical Condition*

Doctor’s diagnosis: swelling due to a hard hit, potentially intentional. Ongoing treatment requires daily pus drainage.
