The key to everything is patience.
It may be hard for an egg to turn into a bird. it would be a jolly sight harder for it to learn to fly while remaining an egg.

Becoming the owner of a pet bird can be a lifelong commitment. Many parrots live 20 to 50 years—with larger birds generally living longer. Parrots can form very strong bonds with their owners. When this occurs, they may have difficulty adjusting to a new owner.
While smaller birds such as budgies, canaries, and finches tend to live between 10 and 20 years in captivity, and not every type of bird becomes so tied to an owner, bird ownership should never be considered a short-term commitment.

Your home and your life will be changed for years, possibly decades to come.

A spectacular Red lory aka Moluccan lory with an orange bill, scattered dark purple-blue wing markings, a blue base to the undertail, and a dark tail. Juveniles are duller, with less blue.

Attention is the biggest care factor that you can ensure, as without your supervision, the naughty bird can do anything. Your association and interaction are important for the mood of the bird. The active bird doesn’t need separate time for exercising as it is always on the move.🫶❤️

👉Pairing Sun Conures🦜 for Mating:

To pair sun conures for mating, you must ensure the 2 birds are compatible.

The first step is confirming the parrots are of the opposite s*x. This isn’t easy to do by sight as sun conures are monomorphic – there’s no obvious difference between males and females.

Suppose you purchased sun conures from a reputable breeder, which is always advisable due to the endangered species of these birds.

In that case, the conure should have an ankle tag specifying key characteristics such as age and s*x.
You may need a DNA test to ensure you have been given accurate information. This involves submitting a feather or blood sample from each conure and awaiting the results.

The Journal of Mahanakorn Veterinary Medicine confirms that DNA tests display clear differences between male and female birds.

Just because sun conures are of the opposite s*x doesn’t guarantee they’ll breed. If sun conures share a perch, food, and toys and bob their heads while interacting, they have formed a union.

👉Do Sun Conures Mate for Life?

Once you successfully pair sun conures, these birds will mate for life.

This means you can usually rely on the same bonded pair to produce multiple clutches of eggs. This affects the hen’s body and health, so think carefully before breeding them.

Captive sun conures have an average lifespan of 15-30 years. If one sun conure dies, you may be able to introduce a new mate and attempt breeding after a period of mourning if the hen remains fertile.

What's breeding diet?
As we loved our birds too much and couldn't think of starving them, we initially believed that birds breed when given abundance of food, and, we started feeding our birds varied foods in large quantities... Seeds, nuts, flowers, vegetables, fruits, sprouts and tubers... Our birds would breed.
We divided diet into two parts.
* Enrichment diet *
* Breeding diet *
Enrichment Diet: We provide a small amount of seed mix which is finished greedily in 3-4 hours maximum. Then the birds are given a few flowers like hibiscus, rose, marigolds and moringa flowers and lots of branches like eucalyptus, Neem, curry leaf, basil, moringa.
This process keeps them active and feeling alive. The birds are kept on this diet for 2-3 months. In a week before switching to a breeding diet, we start to add calcium on the enrichment diet.
Breeding Diet: This diet is basically a protein boost in the diet. In the breeding diet we stop providing all the branches, flowers and veggies.we only provide a little seed and a lot of sprouts. Our sprouts include sunflower, safflower, various millets, green gram, wheat and chick pea.we also pressure cook various seeds like Rajma, various beans, peas, horse gram, cow pea. Etc. we spray the sprouts with Rex oil to increase vitamin E. Vitamin E helps improve the fertility of the birds.

There are some birds that are so striking that you can never forget your initial impression of the species.
In July 2014 I saw the Sun Conure for the first time at the premises of a breeder. I was enraptured by their beauty.
No artist’s portrayal could do justice to their striking and unique colors. The fiery orange combined with golden-yellow would delight the most demanding aesthete!
Alas, this is still one of the most gorgeous aviary birds anyone could own.
