Last week when I saw Puturani in the streets,I felt something was off even though she was normal and eating & playing jovially.
In my mind I had a very tiny pinprick fear of Distemper and I really hoped that this time my instinct will be wrong. Even people said that I have become extremely paranoid and that was my anxiety talking. But I was like "Uhu. Something isn't right."
Puturani tested positive for Canine Distemper. She was vaccinated.
[She was picked up last week when I felt suspicious, she is under treatment now]
So I did all their Distemper kit test today. Blood tests - Next week.

This dog was admitted in a very bad condition, one eye gouged out(cruelty case victim) . And due to the blood loss,her Hemoglobin was below normal range. She had her surgery and now today she's returning to her own area with the humans who love her and care about her.๐

It is extremely difficult for me to click any pics/videos of this camera shy person(my Father) during daily feeding. Even today while I was telling him "look at the camera/stand back" he just disregarded me. ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ
He doesn't like to be recorded while feeding the community dogs in my area. But even if he cannot find one dog during feeding,at his age he will start searching for the dog until he finds her/him. For the past one week I am unable to go and feed them because of my injury, but he is doing this,twice a day,every day. And he does this whenever I am not present at home during their feeding time.
Some days,his energy just surprises me. And every day I think, "I am glad I have his genes in me."
When people ask me,"how do you manage to do everything?"
I tell them because my Father has got my back when it comes to taking care of dogs.

Pre vaccination (annual) deworming done. They are the community dogs of my area. I feed them regularly. Today was their deworming day. I always put the tablet inside chicken liver so that it's easy to feed them the medicine.
They are fed twice a day,everyday. ๐

So,two months ago I spotted them during my vaccination drive @ Dumdum. Gotta know that they were motherless pups. The female(black & tan) was roaming around with a broken tail & a little deformed jaw(the locals informed me that it happened because of an accident).
I couldn't sleep that night. I was torn inside thinking about them & also at the same time I was terrified about their well being.
The next day I went & brought them home. After a week,the local councillor called me & dictated me to let them roam in the streets because her daughter played with them sometimes. I refused.
Her daughter came with a few teenagers, demanding them to be left on the streets neat her house. Told her that ain't happening.
I crossed paths with them by chance and I believe fate has brought us together.

Took her to the vet today.
Her weight has increased. Vet advised to stop saline now(today was the 28th day).
Focused more on tablets as she is able to have liquid food/mashed chicken/liver etc.
Touchwood.
He gave me quite a few medicines (prescription attached in the end).

This morning started off very hectic. I didn't get much sleep last night (1 hr),then had to rush a member of my extended family to Fortis. She got admitted in the ICU.
Stayed @ Fortis until 17:30,started feeling really unwell(haven't been keeping well since quite some time). Went for a check up & invariably the Doc found a few things๐ญ. Will do my tests next month hopefully.
I returned at Dumdum,fed Sundori & now will order lunch probably. I am exhausted. I might not be able to revert to anyone tonight.
This is her update,as of today. She is swallowing food. Responding to touch.
