s at Barker's Dozen have been created by Akanksha a Pastry chef by profession and pet baker by passion. Akanksha is an alumnus of The Culinary Institute of America. Later, worked at Thomas Keller's Bouchon bakery in New York. She is a pet fan herself and counts a Beagle, a Labrador and an Indie as family. As you may have guessed her pets critique her products first. All products are slow baked to preserve flavour and nutrients. Speciality treats available for young and older pets. All products can be modified to accommodate any dietary needs.

Took on a new challenge:
A 2D portrait of Shaan and his human( ! Pets' faces come naturally to me, but humans? Not so much. 😅 For Shaan's human's birthday, they wanted something special, and I gave it my all. It took a while, but the result isn’t too shabby (maybe I’m being kind to myself). Would I do it again?Eh, let's stick to the pets! 😂 #

These are probably the toughest to make even when made with fondant, buttercream and cornstarch (these go into human cakes)

So making our Face Cakes with dog-friendly ingredients is really a challenge!

There have been times when I've considered taking these off the menu due to the sheer effort that goes into making them!

But, seeing the happy doggos next to their cakes reminds us why we do it - to Celebrate every wag!

10 years to the day that I joined the Culinary Institute of America, finally turning my love for baking into a profession
10 years to the day that my journey down the wonderful, creative, aromatic, and sometimes chaotic world of the baking arts began
10 years in which I went from working at Bouchon in NY to establishing my own pet bakery in aamchi Mumbai

Loved every bit of it - the friendships, the early mornings, the long hours, discipline, and hardship!

A big thank you to all my lovely friends at the CIA, Bouchon Bakery - you've helped me become the baker I am today!

As a baker, I come across some unique dog names. Yesterday was one such day.
I made an 11th birthday cake for this handsome boi Kuttush!!

Like any other self-respecting obsessor, I just HAD to know what the name Kuttush means.
I bet you can't guess why the pet parent named him Kuttush. Take a shot in the comments.

Hint - it has something to do with a cartoon / comic book character
