The purpose of the society is to make people aware about the care, management and nutrition of pet and stray animals. For AWS all animals on this planet are the pets of the society and hence we need to realize their importance in our everyday life and do our bit in exchange. AWAAHS conducts regular awareness programs in and around maharastra besides its free-anti rabies camps for strays. The society is doing its bit to help eradicate rabies and control the stray population by immunization and undertaking the ABC (Animal Birth Control) Program. AWAAHS discourages the use of plastic bags and encourages people to plant trees. AWAAHS promote vegetarianism and educates people about Bird flu. AWAAHS is for preservation of wildlife and it makes people aware of the existing animal laws of this country. AWAAHS needs funds for all its future and present projects.

Mr Saurabh Pawar brought his dog Angel, during the camping for anti-rabies vaccination. After a thorough examination by our doctor, the doctor noticed that Angel had mammary gland tumor (equivalent to breast cancer). The doctor suggested operation on Angel. Mr. Saurabh Pawar was told to bring the dog Angel the next day for surgery. The owner and his family was worried about the surgery and the health of Angel, Dr. Sumith, assured Mr. Saurabh to keep cool. The surgery was successful. After Angel came on her senses, Mr. Saurabh took her home and appreciated Dr. Sumith's surgical skills.
We thank the entire team of Mission Rabies for handling Angel so well.
Also thanks to AWAAHS team for the efforts.

How many of you blame the bulls for the accident in the video here? We aren't against developing cities, where building roads as a part of a facility to the citizens is must.. It's easy to call ourselves urbanised by building a cement forest. However, there is another side to it as well. Who will think of these animals, whose homes are destroyed as a result of it.. Dhanno, a female horse, in AWAAHS

The fact that Nashikars look upto us for any complicated cases they ever come across, is a blessing for us and is an evidence that we have proven ourselves from time to time. A gentleman found this female horse (Dhanno - as we named her) in an injured condition. He was referred to AWAAHS as we have rescued horses in the past as well. The good news is that she is still standing on her 3 and she is a fighter. Dhanno is at our shelter right now and we are taking opinion from various veterinary doctors about her condition. We will keep you posted about Dhanno's progress. In the meantime, we want all of you to please keep Dhanno in prayers. We came into existence in 2010 and started working the very same day. Our purpose is to make people aware about the care, management and nutrition of pet and stray animals. All animals on this planet are the pets of the society and hence society needs to realize their importance in everyday life. We conduct regular awareness programs in and around Maharashtra, besides free anti-rabies camps for the strays. We are also doing our bit in order to control the stray population by undertaking the ABC (Animal Birth Control) Program.

We strongly discourage the use of plastic bags for curbing pollution and also save our strays from accidentally consuming it as food. We encourage people to plant as many trees as possible for a better environment. We also work for the preservation of wildlife and make people aware of various Animal Laws that exist in the country.
