With deep sorrow, we share a message regarding the recent incident involving Milo, a beloved pet who had been in our care. During the 18 days Milo stayed with us, we gave him the same love, attention, and protection that we extend to every pet at Paw Point. Our hearts go out to Milo’s family in their time of grief, and we feel their pain deeply.
Paw Point was founded out of our love for pets and a dedication to their well-being. Every day, we work with pets because we truly care for them—not just as animals, but as family members. It has always been our mission to create a safe, comforting environment for every pet. We would never harm, much less endanger, any animal under our watch. These values define us, and the happiness and safety of pets are at the heart of everything we do.
On October 21st, around 1 pm, after receiving permission from his pet parents, we took Milo for a grooming session. Milo was a familiar and cherished guest, and we were delighted to care for him. Tragically, on the way back from the grooming center, an unexpected incident occurred. Milo jumped out of the car window. Though we tried immediately to reach him, he quickly escaped. A bystander on a motorcycle attempted to assist, but Milo, feeling scared and disoriented, bit those trying to help and ran off.
The moment this happened, we began an urgent search for Milo, notifying his pet parents, who joined us as we tirelessly searched the area. We also sought assistance from local residents, security personnel, and authorities, but unfortunately, he could not be located that evening. We continued searching late into the night and again early the next morning, holding on to hope of bringing Milo home safely.
On October 23rd, we received devastating news that Milo had been found on the roadside and had tragically passed away. This loss has deeply affected us, and we immediately informed both his family and the authorities. We extend our sincerest condolences to Milo’s family and share in their grief.
We understand how heart-wrenching this is for Milo’s family, and it has been painful for us to see online footage that does not reflect the full story of what happened. We want to assure everyone that our actions have always been grounded in love and a genuine commitment to pets’ well-being. We would never do anything to harm an animal under any circumstances.
While nothing can bring Milo back, we are committed to learning from this tragic event and doing everything in our power to prevent such incidents in the future. For over nine years, we have cared for pets with all our hearts, and this situation is a reminder of how delicate and precious their lives are.
Our thoughts remain with Milo and his family. We are committed to upholding the love, compassion, and dedication that guide us, and we will continue to ensure the safety and care of every pet that comes to Paw Point.
