Our Story
Late Kiranben Patel was a well-known stage, film and TV artist of the yesteryears, who also had her heart with animals. During her early years in Mumbai and later in Ahmedabad, she always sheltered animals. During the last few years of her life despite old age and financial struggle she continued her good work with the help of donations in cash and kind.
The work which Kiranben did for over 50 years has been continued by her son and niece in her old dilapidated bungalow, in the name of Kiranben JivKaruna Trust, with the help of donations in cash and kind, and free medical help by veterinarian Dr. Tina Giri.
At present there are about 40 Dogs and 20 Cats, cohabiting peacefully and freely. There are no kennels or fences, and the animals are free to go outside too. No animal runs away from this loving home of theirs. Each animal needs only Rs. 350/- per month! Please come forward to help them.
