Thank to the efforts of two volunteers in Margao, 10 female dogs were spayed.
Had they not been caught and neutered, these 10 dogs would have got pregnant and given birth to 160 unwanted puppies this year.

This bird who frequents my workplace was found by a coworker in a very disoriented condition. The entire body was quaking in a strange manner.
Consulted @drcharmainespetcareclinic who prescribed it some medicine. It showed complete improvement overnight. It most likely consumed something toxic.
It was released the next morning and returns back daily to dine with the local crows.

This pigeon was found on the streets of Panjim being attacked by a gang of crows. The fight resulted in an injured and bleeding eye.
Seeing the fellow in trouble, concerned citizens shooed them away and decided to take them to the nearest wildlife rescue. The
wildlife rescue refused citing that pigeons are not wildlife.
From there they went to Dr. Charmaine in Panjim to at least have a vet check before deciding their next move.
From there the bird eventually landed up with us for post op care.
The fellow was understandably stressed from being caged and in a new environment and refused to eat alone.
Within a week his or her eyes went back to normal. After the vet gave her OK to set it free, that was what we did.
We waited till sundown to set it free and after being sure no birds were coming to attack it, left it to its own devices hoping for the best.

This collared male dog in santa Cruz was found by some passers by. He was having seizures over and over. He showed symptoms of distemper and has unfortunately passed away despite the vet's best efforts.
If you are the owners or know who he belongs to, please let them know so they can have closure.

2 month old rats in Panjim looking for a home as a pair ONLY in PANJIM and closeby areas.
Reason? Panjim has a rodent specialist. Majority of cat/dog vets do not treat rodents. It will also be easier for us to keep track of you and the rats.
Adopter must have no cats or dogs that will 100 end up killing them.
They have an expected life span of two months. The rats can both be neutered to prevent them from having a bazillion litters. Have already spoken to a vet who has done this successfully before. The rats will not be given to people who plan to make a business of selling their babies.
Home check and paperwork signing is a must. Those who have prior rat raising experience will be given first preference.
