Every year BSAW gets some contribution from different groups, agencies, organizations to run its free services. These grants have provided much-needed money to help fund free treatment camps for life-threatening diseases

, and for welfare and education projects across the country. By supporting BSAW we can help ensure the continued health and welfare of our nation's animals even in the remotest of areas. Ramashish Animal Welfare and Research Institute (RAWRI), run under BSAW works to train Indian citizens on first aid veterinary treatment including basic clinical treatment of diseases.

Ruminotomy performed in a standing position in a cow for the removal of the foreign bodies from rumen and reticulum.

Dystocia in cow

Dystocia due to two heads feature in a cow. The operation was performed under para ventricular anesthesia and linear infiltration of local anesthetic. About 16-inches long para median incision was made for laparotomy. The team was led by the veteran surgeon “Prof.Dr. S.P. Sharma”.
