A dog with a severe head injury was seen running around in Garware College, Deccan Gymkhana. Our volunteer .__ called SAW Helpline number and team immediately rushed to the location.
The dog was aggressive and in panic due to injury trauma. A part of his skull was exposed and maggots were seen indicating the injury is more than 3 days old.
The SAW team managed to catch him tactfully and admitted him to Blue Cross Hospital, Pune.
Upon examination it was found that the injury was much deeper than what met the eye at first glance.
He is currently under treatment and looking at the nature of the injury, it might take him long to recover fully.
We urge all animal lovers to chip in with any amount possible for his treatment and care.

During a sterilization drive in Warje, Pune, Our team spotted this innocent 4 month old female pup crossing a busy street dragging her hind legs.
Her tail torn away, hind legs, waist and abdomen bruised from constant dragging on rough surfaces in search of food, water.
She is currently admitted at Animal Rescue Trust, Pune where she is receiving primary medication.
She was born with hind leg deformities and chances of her walking on all fours are slim to none.
Besides current medical treatment, she will require a dog wheelchair and shelter stay for the rest of her life which will be a constant ongoing expense.
We urge all of you loving people to kindly come forward and donate generously to help us provide a better life for this beautiful girl.

A heart-wrenching incident unfolded last night around 10pm. We received a distress call about a community dog, cruelly hit by someone, crying in unbearable pain. Unable to stand, our Benevolent Souls Foundation team hurried to the scene. The moment we laid eyes on her, chills ran down our spines—she had a massive cut from shoulder to neck, bleeding and in excruciating pain. It wasn't a vehicular accident but a deliberate act with a sharp object. Despite her agony, she remained remarkably gentle, cooperating as we assured her help. Swiftly securing her, we transported her to our care. Currently, she's in a shelter, having undergone surgery and now in the recovery phase. Yesterday noon we got reported about a young kitten got into an accident. Reporter said he got an bullet ran over him. When we reached to the location poor kitten was just laying on the road. We rescued the kitten and rushed to Metrovet Diagnostic center to get xray done. Upon Xray Prognosis it seems his spine is slightly broken and is unable to stand using hind legs. Because of Spine injury, kitten has lost bladder control and unable to pee and poop. We help him Eliminate and empty his bladder by gently pressing bladder with the help of Dr. Ram Khodave. Kitten is now under our care and need intensive care for the spine injury. We really hope he recover and get back on his feet once again and live happy life.
